Over 40 years of fighting injustices and inequitable political and economic practices in our society have solely meant a periodic quest to plant this sorely deserved future. Our grandparents, parents, brothers, and sisters whose exemplary services brought us this far, toiled eminently at all cost to create this space for us, our children, and generations seemingly unforeseeable. Warrap's new government unvailed
By Deng Simon Deng-KUACKJOK, 27 June 2010 (Gurtong) - The new cabinet appointed by the State Governor Nyandeng Malek has been described by the state residents as fairly-balanced. Residents who spoke to Gurtong during the ceremony held at the Governor’s office on Friday June 25, expressed delight by the female Governors’ choice of Minister and Advisors.Governor Malek said several considerations were taken into account while naming the cabinet, including the 30 percent allocation for women as well as capabilities of different individuals. Warrap governor calls for support to new cabinet
By Ngor Arol Garang-June 27, 2010, (ALEK, Warrap) — The first female politician elected into higher executive office, in the southern state of Warrap; Governor Nyandeng Malek Deliech, has on Sunday called for support to her cabinet. Governor Nyandeng thanked citizens for patience they exercised as she was consulting with political leaders, intellectuals and the state assembly on the formation of the new cabinet. "I thank you for showing patience while forming this cabinet and I called upon you to extend them your supports," she said. Warrap is one of the southern states whose new cabinet is composed of almost new faces. A Picture about Life in Kuajok Town

It is not known to many people that Kuajok is currently the capital town of Warrap State because when the Ingaz government divided the Southern Sudan into ten states in 1994, the capital of Warrap state was Warrap town in Greater Tonj and it is still up to this moment the capital of Warrap state in some old and new maps in northern Sudan; but for those in New Sudan territories, Kuajok is well known to them as the capital town of Warrap state. When the war intensified vigorously in the Southern Sudan in the end of the last decade of the last century, and the gallant forces of the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Army (SPLA) defeated the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) in most areas of the South and captured Warrap town in Greater Tonj, the SAF were chased northward. Warrap town was liberated and the Sudan Armed Forces that were defeated and chased away from Warrap town in Greater Tonj came northward and encamped in Gogrial town and made it their military base...(full)

The decision of the Sudan Peoples’ Liberation Movement Political Bureau (SPLM/PB) last February to name Mama Nyandeng Malek Dielic as the party candidate for Warrap state gubernatorial post was a right step toward the success of Warrap state. The people of Warrap state have massively voted for her and she overwhelmingly won the rice. Her people in Warrap have made her their want and their winner. Their trust and confident in her was great and it is still great and I am sure it shall remain great until the end of her tenure in 2014 by God’s grace...(read all)
